Achievement
INTCO Recycling participated in the S&P Global ESG score. With years of continuous exploration and deepening of sustainable development, it received a total score of 50 points. This is ahead of 91% of the chemicals enterprises and significantly higher than the industry average score. And this confirms our achievements in the ESG field and has been recognized by international authoritative organizations. As a part of INTCO Recycling close-loop, GREENMAX made a positive contribution to this ESG score.
S&P CSA, initiated by S&P Global, is the world's leading "Corporate Sustainability Assessment" tool. It analyzes environmental protection, social responsibility, multi-dimensional indicators such as corporate governance comprehensively evaluate the company's sustainable development performance and its ability to identify and control potential risks and opportunities, and convert it into an ESG score, which comprehensively reflects the ESG management and information disclosure level of the company.
INTCO Recycling participated in CSA for achieved good results, thanks to the important achievements of integrating ESG governance into the company's long-term development strategy since its establishment. Our company regards innovation as the core driving force to promote long-term and high-quality development of enterprises. Through many years of hard work and progress in the plastic recycling industry, we have continuously improved innovation capabilities and successfully opened up the whole industry chain business of "plastic recycling-plastic recycling-recycled plastic products-recycling"
Environment
INTCO Recycling advocates the business philosophy of "reducing white pollution, promoting resource regeneration, and recycling and green reuse". Since its establishment, it has cumulatively reduced approximately 2.5 million tons of carbon emissions, saved about 3.75 million tons of crude oil resources, and reduced the felling of 25 million trees every year.
In 2022, INTCO Recycling carried out product carbon footprint accounting to clarify the carbon emissions in each link "from cradle to gate". A total of 60,596 tons of PS waste was recycled, 88,829 tons avoided from landfill, and the carbon footprint was reduced by 192,089 tons of CO2. And 13,095 tons of PET bottle bricks were recycled, corresponding to a reduction of 17,825 tons of carbon footprint CO2.
At the same time, the company vigorously promotes photovoltaic projects to promote low-carbon emission reduction, builds a new 4.0MW photovoltaic solar energy project, and implements "water recycling" and other energy-saving projects, realizing intelligent energy management. In terms of strengthening pollution prevention and control, the total emissions of NOX, SOX, and NHX are 0, and the general waste recycling rate is as high as 92.03%.
Social
On the one hand, INTCO Recycling actively fulfills its responsibility for sustainable development of the supply chain and jointly builds a responsible supply chain. On the other hand, the company actively builds an open ecological platform to promote the exchange and sharing of innovative technological achievements and accelerate the growth of industry partners. The company has participated in the formulation of 3 national standards, 1 industry standard, and 6 group standards.
